Currently and for the past two years, CSAR receives no state, local or federal government funding and relies entirely on private donations, grants and corporate sponsors for its operations.  We deeply appreciate the support of our community.

We have one paid staff member, our executive director.  All other staff, including the BSAR state coordinators who work overnight shifts, are volunteers.  Most of them also volunteer for one or more of our member organizations, the backcountry search and rescue teams across Colorado.
